After reading several different post here I put together a solution to play TiVo recordings in Windows Media Player.
I found WMM won’t play TiVo files. I have read some of the other postings dealing with this same issue but I can’ t seem to find a solution. I am trying to play a TiVo recording in Windows Media Player and I received that error about the codec. Searching further, I get my issue resolved. Below is how to.
As someone suggested, to play TiVo with Windows Media Player, I can try to download a codec pack. I tired it but gave it up. Well, it perhaps works but seems a bit complicated, especially for the novice like me, and usually messes up Windows Media Player.
In the second try, I used Brorsoft Video Converter, a top rated TiVo converting tool. It is able to convert TiVo to WMV, WMM best video format with original quality. It works very well and I haven’t really had any problems. Conversion speed seems fine and the videos look good on the Windows Media Player.
Now if anyone here we have issues when playing TiVo in Windows Media Player, just download Brorsoft Video Converter and start video conversion as below.
